Is it time?

Signs you’ve outgrown bookkeeping alone

If several of these sound familiar, a fractional CFO will likely pay for itself.

  • Cash feels tight even though revenue is growing
  • You can’t say which clients, products or channels are most profitable
  • Budgets are set once a year and never revisited
  • You are preparing to raise capital, add debt or sell
  • Investors, lenders or a board are asking for better reporting
  • Big decisions are made on instinct because the numbers arrive too late
  • Pricing, commissions or hiring plans haven’t been modeled against cash

FAQ

Fractional CFO questions

How much does a fractional CFO cost?

Our Strategic CFO package starts at $8,500 per month and includes everything in the Controller package plus forecasting, pro forma modeling, investor reporting and strategic planning. A full-time CFO typically costs far more once salary, bonus, equity and benefits are included. See the pricing page for every package.

When does a company need a fractional CFO instead of a full-time CFO?

Most companies between $1M and $40M in revenue need CFO-level thinking for specific decisions (a raise, a lender relationship, an acquisition, a pricing change, a cash squeeze) but not 40+ hours a week of it. A fractional CFO gives you that judgment on a part-time basis and scales up when a transaction or initiative demands it.

Can you work with our existing bookkeeper?

Yes. Our fractional CFOs work with internal or external bookkeepers and adapt to your existing processes. If the books need more support, we can also take on bookkeeping or controller work directly.

What is a 13-week cash flow forecast?

It is a rolling, week-by-week projection of cash receipts and disbursements over the next quarter. It shows exactly when cash gets tight, so you can time payments, collections, hiring and financing before a shortfall becomes a crisis. We build and update it weekly for clients who need tight liquidity management.

How quickly can you get started?

After a free 30-minute consultation we send a tailored proposal. Once it is agreed, onboarding begins with access to your accounting system and a review of your current reporting, so the first management report reflects your real numbers.
